Modernizing a National Leader’s Digital Footprint and Fueling Growth Through Strategic Marketing
The Client
Derse is one of the nation’s top experiential marketing agencies, designing and building exhibits, branded environments, and immersive event experiences. With 600 employees and more than 6,000 events annually across eight locations, Derse blends architectural expertise with human-centered strategy. Their legacy and scale demanded a website and digital program that could perform just as strategically and that’s where Trivera came in to help in 2019.
The Challenge
Derse came to Trivera looking for more than a website. They needed a digital partner who could:
- Modernize their web presence to reflect their industry leadership
- Build a flexible system to support sales enablement and rentals
- Drive qualified leads through organic and paid search
- Align digital campaigns with event activations and trade shows
- Maintain compliance with state privacy regulations
- Provide strategic direction, responsive support, and transparent analytics
The engagement began with a full-site redesign and has grown into a long-term retained partnership focused on performance and continuous improvement.
The Solution
Our solution began with a foundational website strategy designed not only to meet immediate needs, but to evolve as our partnership deepened, supporting future initiatives through data-driven insights and scalable digital infrastructure. Those initiatives included but were not limited to:
Website Strategy & Development
We led a complete redesign of derse.com using Trivera’s EVOLVE process: Evaluate, Ideate, Activate. The new site was built in Concrete CMS to give their team full content control, improve accessibility, and optimize for search. Design deliverables included custom UX wireframes, style tiles, and mockups, all in alignment with brand guidelines.
Our SEO specialists performed a complete technical and content audit, created a URL and keyword map, and implemented redirects from the legacy site. The new sitemap was informed by heatmap data, audience research, and Google Analytics behavior flow. HubSpot was integrated for form conversion tracking.
We also conducted onsite training, recorded sessions, and delivered a custom admin guide to ensure Derse’s team had full confidence managing the CMS post-launch.
Rentals Tool for Sales Enablement
To support Derse’s rental offerings, Trivera designed and built a custom internal tool within the Concrete CMS framework. This gated, sales-only module allows logged-in team members to filter and quote exhibit kits by size, type, and price. Components such as counters, AV, and furniture are also filterable by category. The tool includes kit family pages, and user-friendly admin controls.
ExhibitorLIVE Campaign Execution
For Derse’s major industry event, ExhibitorLIVE, we executed a full-funnel digital campaign that included:
- Pre-event Google Ads and LinkedIn targeting
- Onsite geofencing with mobile ad delivery
- Post-event remarketing
- Real-time analytics dashboards and follow-up reporting
We achieved 500,000+ impressions, over 1,000 clicks, and high click-to-call engagement. Our strategy maximized visibility while respecting budget constraints and privacy limitations around geofencing and device tracking. With our digital support, Derse was able to win two Best of Show awards at ExhibitorLIVE.
SEO & Paid Media
Every month, Trivera provides SEO maintenance, toxic link remediation, keyword ranking improvements, and optimization of paid search campaigns. Our PPC efforts have steadily improved conversions from Google Ads and increased qualified lead volume, particularly around keywords like “trade show company Las Vegas” and “trade show rentals,” where Derse now ranks nationally.
Compliance Enhancements
In response to evolving privacy regulations (CCPA, CPRA, GPC), Trivera performed a full compliance overhaul of Derse.com. We added cookie consent logic, “Do Not Sell/Share” links, and a GPC signal-detection system. Third-party embeds (e.g. YouTube, HubSpot, Google Maps) are now wrapped in a custom embed block that blocks content until cookies are accepted or a GPC signal is detected.
