Simplicity Case Study
Simplicity Manufacturing is an 80-year-old Midwestern
company that produces commercial and residential Lawn and Garden
tractors. Simplicity also owns AGCO
and Massey Ferguson, who also manufacture lawn mowers; Ferris Industries,
a manufacturer of commercial lawn mowers, and Giant Vac, the outdoor
power equipment industry's leading supplier of leaf and debris handling
equipment. As a leader in their industry, they sought an interactive
agency that was a leader as well.
While working with other developers over the years,
the Simplicity marketing team kept a watchful eye on Trivera, to
assess whether Trivera was a qualified firm with long-term viability.
Shortly after Simplicity purchased Giant Vac, Trivera was offered
the opportunity to demonstrate its capabilities and service on the
Web site for their new acquisition. So pleased was Simplicity that
the decision was made to use Trivera for all their companies Web
site initiatives.
Strategy
As an established brand with an extremely high
quality identity, the Simplicity, Massey Ferguson, AGCO and Ferris
Industries sites all required great attention to graphical detail.
In addition to public Web sites with consumer
level product information and dealer locators, Ferris and Simplicity
also provide dealers with extensive product information and technical
specifications.
Design and Technology
Extensive use of Flash has added tremendous impact
to the Simplicity site, and robust back-end programming powers a
user-friendly dealer locator. All the sites are in the process of
being migrated to the Trivera hosting operation, and additional
functionality is planned after that move.
